The issue of youth unemployment in Bangladesh is gradually becoming a ticking time bomb that demands urgent national attention. Thousands of young men and women complete their education each year, full of hope and dreams. But sadly, many of them do not find suitable jobs. Some remain unemployed for years, while others are forced to take jobs that are not related to their field of study.

One of the main reasons is the gap between education and practical job skills. Our education system focuses too much on memorizing and passing exams. It often ignores the importance of hands-on skills, creativity, and real-world knowledge. As a result, even though we have many degree holders, they are not ready for the job market.

Another major issue is the lack of job opportunities in both the public and private sectors. The number of new graduates is increasing every year, but job creation is not happening at the same rate. In rural areas, the situation is even worse. Many young people leave their villages and move to cities in search of work, which adds pressure to already crowded urban areas.

We need immediate action to solve this growing problem. First, we must reform our education system to include more practical, technical, and digital skill-based learning. Students should be taught how to solve problems, work in teams, and think creatively.

Second, the government should open more vocational training centers and support freelancing and self-employment through training and funding.

Third, young entrepreneurs should get support through startup funding, training, and mentorship programs. If they get the right help, they can build their own businesses and also create jobs for others.

In conclusion, if we want to see a better future for our country, we must invest in our youth. They are not a burden; they are our greatest strength. It is time to give them the tools they need to succeed.
