Youth’s body arrived at home after 84 days of death

The body of a youth, who was killed on June 20 in a cylinder explosion in Lybiya finally arrived to his relatives on Friday morning after two months and 23 days.

The deceased is Namjul Islam, 30, son of Lokman Hossain of Betua Dakshim Para village in Raiganj upazila of Sirajganj district.

He went to Libya about three years ago spending over Tk 4 lakh in search of work and livelihood.

Family relatives said that, he died on June 20 after being burnt in a gas cylinder explosion inside a house in Libya while working. Due to the lack of valid documents, his body was delayed in arriving. Later, the family members applied to the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment to bring the body home. The body of the deceased was brought to the family in the country through the ministry. After receiving the body, his namaz-e-janaza was performed at around 11:00 am and the body was buried in a family graveyard in the area.

The deceased Nazmul has a wife, a two-and-a-half-year-old son, elderly mother and father at home.
