Natore Correspondent:

A team of Fire Service recovered the body of a missing youth from a river in Singra upazila of Natore district on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Al Mamun alias Nayon, 19, son of Moyen Uddin of Nurpur-Krishnapur village under Kalom union in the upazila.

According to locals, Nayon drowned in the Atrai River when he was crossing the river via an overcrowded dinghy boat at 4 PM on Friday. He had been missing since then.

Singra Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Rafikul Islam confirmed the incident.
