Ziaul Hoque Polash, widely recognised for his comedic role in “Bachelor Point”, is now striving to break free from that established identity.

His upcoming project, “Khalid”, presents him in a completely different light—as a free-spirited, bohemian boxer. The drama, directed by National Film Award-winning filmmaker Taneem Rahman Angshu, offers a fresh perspective on action in Bangladeshi fiction.

Both Polash and director Angshu unveiled the poster of “Khalid” on their social media accounts. The poster shot features Polash drenched in sweat, fists clenched like a true boxer, offering fans a glimpse of his intense transformation.

Speaking with local media, Polash shared that “Khalid” explores a new dimension of action, incorporating hand-to-hand combat, backfighting, and boxing—elements rarely seen in Bangladeshi fiction.

“This is the story of a wandering boxer who unexpectedly finds himself entangled in life’s complexities. While entirely fictional, the way Angshu bhai has crafted the narrative makes it truly unique. I have always been drawn to exceptional stories and characters. Rather than taking on multiple projects during Eid, I prefer focusing on one or two meaningful ones—’Khalid’ is one such project,” Polash expressed.

The cast of this drama also includes Arfan Mredha Shiblu, Tania Ahmed, Safa Kabir, Shatabdi Wadud, and others.

The drama “Khalid”, produced for YouTube, will be released on the Club Eleven channel as part of the special Eid-ul-Fitr lineup.
