Law enforcers in a joint operation recovered three one-shooter pipe guns and 19 rounds of lead ball cartridges, which were being illegally kept in possession at Shahjadpur upazila in Sirajganj.

The raid took place in Parkola Cluster Village on Sunday afternoon.

Shahjadpur Police Station officer-in-charge Sabuj Rana said that the first recovery was made from the house of one Samad Ali, 37, where a one-shooter pipe gun and six rounds of lead ball cartridges were found hidden in a plastic sack under a bed.

In a similar manner, the second pipe gun and seven cartridges were recovered from the house of Shahadat Hossain, 26, in the same area. Additionally, the house of Nazrul Islam, yielded another pipe gun and six cartridges.

None of the accused were present during the operation.

However, separate cases have been filed against the three suspects under Arms Act, added the OC.
