Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan said 700 students will be appointed as traffic police assistants. He said that initially 300 to 400 students would be appointed.
He said this at the press conference organized on the occasion of National Youth Day celebration on November 1 in the meeting room of his ministry at the secretariat on Wednesday.
Asif Mahmud said that the students will work at important points in the capital and said that there is heavy traffic during these two hours, morning and afternoon, so they will do this work for 4 hours. Students will be considered for permanency upon completion of their studies if they are interested.
He said, taking full-time will require more money from the government. If taken as part-time, students are also provided with income. In many developed countries of the world, students are given opportunities for various government jobs.
