Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said that those who cherish the spirit of Razakars (war criminals during 1971) are also Razakars. Chhatra League (BCL) will strictly answer these “self-confessed” Razakars.

He said these at a press conference on Monday (July 15) at the political office of the Awami League president in the capital’s Dhanmondi.

Obaidul Quader said that an “anti-government movement is being attempted” in the name of a quota reform movement. It has the support and connivance of the BNP. This apprehension is proved by the anti-liberation war slogans that hurt the country’s existence at Dhaka University last night.

He said that “BNP-Jamaat is the tool” of the students’ movement. They are showing the audacity against the government by giving the ultimatum. The country’s highest court decision on quota reform is final. Public suffering will not be tolerated. All supporters of freedom-lovers, including the Chhatra League, are ready to respond to the quota reform agitators.

Obaidul Quader said that Razakar has no place on the soil of this country, the Prime Minister’s statement was correct. The rise of a defeated power will not be tolerated. Those who deny the glory of the country and identify themselves as Razakar, how do they identify themselves as talented?
