The Gopalganj district unit BNP, Jubo Dal, and allied organisations staged a sit-in and held a procession demanding the trial of Awami League President and former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her associates.

On Wednesday morning, BNP leaders and activists, along with members of affiliated organisations, gathered near the auditorium of Sheikh Sayera Khatun Medical College Hospital and began their sit-in program there.

The protest rally, presided over by district unit BNP Convener Sharif Rafiquzzaman, featured speeches from district BNP members Advocate Toufiq-ul-Islam, Dr. K.M. Babar, Sadar Upazila BNP President Sikdar Shahidul Islam Lenin, district Jubo Dal President Riaz Uddin Lipton, General Secretary Rashequzzaman Palash, district Chhatra Dal President Mikail Hossain, and General Secretary Saiful Islam.

Meanwhile, district Jubo Dal leaders and activists also organised a protest march with the same demands. The march started in front of the Sheikh Sayera Khatun Medical College Hospital auditorium, proceeded through various streets, and concluded at the same location.
