168 lower court judges have been transferred simultaneously. Among them, 114 are senior assistant judges and assistant judges, 47 additional district judges and 7 joint district judges.

On Sunday, the Law and Justice Department of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs issued a gazette notification to transfer them.

Law and Justice Department said that these officers of the Bangladesh Judicial Service have been transferred in consultation with the Supreme Court.

The transferred Additional District Judges have been directed to join the new post with immediate effect on September 12, after handing over the charge of the present post to the Designated Officer of the District and Sessions Judge/Metropolitan Sessions Judge/Head of Department.

Transferring Senior Assistant Judges and Assistant Judges have been asked to join work on September 12 after handing over the charge to the District and Sessions Judge/Chief Metropolitan Magistrate/Chief Judicial Magistrate or Designated Officer Head of Department.

The transferred Joint District Judges have been directed to join the new post by handing over the charge of the present post to the designated officer of the District and Sessions Judge/Chief Metropolitan Magistrate by September 10.
