Najmul Hossain Shanto has given up his Test and T20 captaincy but continues to lead the ODI side
Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bat in the ODI opener of the three-match series against Bangladesh in Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah on Wednesday.
Bangladesh is playing its first ODI since March of this year. It comes into this series having lost the home Tests to South Africa and with plenty of off-field issues.
Najmul Hossain Shanto has given up his Test and T20 captaincy but continues to lead the ODI side.
