Three Bangladeshi expatriates living in Malaysia have been killed and another seriously injured in what is believed to be a fight among co-workers at a house in Port Dickson, reports the New Straits Times.

A Bangladeshi national in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident, the Malaysian publication said, citing Negri Sembilan police chief Alzafny Ahmad.

The police official said law enforcers received a report from the public regarding a fight at a house in Taman Linggi around 4:15pm on Monday.

“Acting on the information, a team from the Linggi police station rushed to the scene and arrested a Bangladeshi man in his 40s,” he said on Tuesday.

The investigation led police to discover two more bodies at the Sua Manggis estate.

“The three Bangladeshi men were confirmed dead after suffering severe injuries to parts of their bodies, while another victim sustained injuries and is receiving treatment at Rembau Hospital,” he said.

The initial probe found that all of those involved were co-workers and they lived at the same residence.

“The incident is believed to have occurred at several locations, and investigations are ongoing to establish the full sequence of events,” he said.

“Preliminary checks found that the suspect has no previous criminal record. He will be brought before the Port Dickson magistrate’s court today for a remand application.”

Alzafny said the incident is being investigated as a murder.
