Taskin Ahmed claimed his maiden five-for in Test cricket to give Bangladesh some hope in the Antigua Test on Monday.

Taskin, playing his 15th Test, eventually picked up six wickets to bundle West Indies out for 152 leaving the visitors a 334-run target.

Beginning the day with a declaration at their overnight score of 269/9, the Tigers aimed to exploit the early morning conditions — a strategy that proved successful.

Taskin Ahmed delivered a remarkable performance, striking twice early on.

Shoriful Islam supported by dismissing West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite, leaving the visitors at 61/3 by Lunch.

After the interval, Taskin took center stage, claiming four more wickets, including first-innings centurion Justin Greaves, to finish with outstanding figures of 6/64 in 14.1 overs.

Captain Mehidy Hasan contributed with two wickets, while Taijul Islam added one to the tally.
