The BNP has expressed satisfaction with the High Court’s verdict in the August 21 grenade attack case. The verdict, delivered on Sunday, acquitted all convicted individuals, including BNP acting chairperson Tarique Rahman and former State Minister for Home Affairs Lutfozzaman Babar.

Following the announcement of the verdict, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi addressed a press conference at the party’s central office in Naya Paltan. He stated, “The High Court’s verdict in the August 21 grenade attack case has established justice. The Awami League misused state power to unlawfully sentence Tarique Rahman and others. The Appellate Division has delivered a rightful judgment.”

The press conference was attended by BNP Joint Secretaries General Khairul Kabir Khokon and Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel, among others.
