Sports Desk:
Chittagong Kings’ off-spinner Aliss Islam is once again under the scanner for a suspect bowling action.
The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) technical committee has confirmed that he will undergo a bowling action test at Mirpur on 25 January.
“He will have to go through a test on 25 January,” BPL technical committee chairman Raqibul Hasan. This marks yet another challenge for Aliss, who had faced similar scrutiny in the past.
The spinner, who has played 8 matches and taken 11 wickets in the ongoing season, faced a suspected bowling action issue during his debut BPL season in 2019. Back then, playing for Rangpur Riders against the Dhaka Dynamites, Aliss made headlines by taking a hat-trick.
However, he was reported for a suspect bowling action shortly after and disappeared from competitive cricket for two years before making a comeback in domestic leagues.
