The 45th founding anniversary of Jatiyatabadi Tanti Dal was observed in Sirajganj with colorful arrangements on Saturday.

Marking the day, a discussion meeting was also held at Bhashani Auditorium in the municipal town organized by the District Tanti Dal. Later, a colorful procession was brought out and it marched the main streets in the town. A short rally was also held at the Muktir Sopan of Bazar Station centering the celebration of the day.

The program was presided over by Sirajganj District Tanti Dal convener Anisur Rahman. Former Parliament Member for Sirajganj-2 Constituency and District BNP President Rumana Mahmud attended the event as chief guest, while Sirajganj District BNP General Secretary Saidur Rahman Bachchu and other leaders and activists took part in the programme.

Participants of the event prayed for the health of Khaleda Zia and urged the government to formulate specific policies to improve the quality of weavers in the country.

Earlier in the morning, both the national and party’s flags were also hoisted and wreaths were laid at the portrait of martyred President Ziaur Rahman.
