Lalmonirhat, Correspondent:

A minor child drowned in a pond in Lalmonirhat’s Hatibandha upazila on Tuesday.

The dead was Muskan, 2, daughter of Sohel Rana, a resident of Ketkibari under Nawdabas of the upazila.

According to locals, the child slipped into a pond next to their home while she was playing near its bank.

Later, family members rescued the child and took to the upazila health complex where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.

Hatibandha Upazila Health Complex Resident Medical Officer Dr. Anwarul Haque confirmed it.
