Bangladesh have made history by securing a place in the final round of the ITF World Junior Tennis Championship (U-14) for the first time.
Competing in the Asia regional qualifiers in Bahrain, Bangladesh sealed their spot in the finals with a commanding 2-0 victory over Hong Kong in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
The outcome not only propelled them into the semifinals of the 21-team tournament but also confirmed their qualification as one of the top four teams for the final round in the Czech Republic, set to take place from August 4 to 9.
Earlier in the group stage, Bangladesh achieved their highest-ever finish by breaking into the top eight. They secured this milestone with a 2-0 victory over Saudi Arabia following a dominant 3-0 win against Nepal in the group stages.
