The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has reduced the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at the consumer level by Tk 28 per 12-kg container.

With the latest revision, the retail price of a 12-kg LPG cylinder has been fixed at Tk1,450, down from the previous rate of Tk1,478.

BERC announced the new price on Sunday saying it will come into effect from this evening.

This adjustment follows a rational scale across various LPG cylinder sizes, ranging from 5.5kg to 45kg, addressing the need for a proportional price revision across different consumer segments.
