Staff Correspondent:
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will seek assistance from international agencies to bring back British lawmaker Tulip Siddiq, who has been accused of graft, following directives of a Bangladeshi court.
While speaking to reporters on Wednesday ACC Director General Akhtar Hossain said Tulip, niece of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, will have an opportunity to place her statement regarding the alleged plot forgery only by appearing before the court.
The graft case involves allegations of fraudulent activities related to land allocation, and Tulip has been named as an accused.
According to the ACC, due legal processes will be followed in cooperation with relevant global organisations to ensure her appearance in court.
