Desk Report:

The government on Sunday (March 31) announced that fuel oil prices have fallen for the second consecutive month with the new prices effective from Monday, under a new auto adjustment mechanism for keeping consistency with global rates.

In keeping with the new pricing formula introduced in early March, the prices of diesel and kerosene have fallen by Tk2.25 per litre to Tk106 per litre, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources announced in a notification Sunday.

The prices of petrol and octane remain the same.

In the first week of March, prices of diesel and kerosene were reduced by Tk0.75 to Tk108.25 per litre. The price of petrol was cut by Tk3 to Tk122 while that of octane fell by Tk4 to Tk126.
