Writ seeks Tk 2cr compensation for families of 352 measles victims

A writ petition has been filed with the High Court seeking directives to provide Tk2 crore in compensation to each family of the 352 children who died from measles and related complications across the country.

The public interest writ was filed on Sunday with the relevant branch of the High Court by Supreme Court lawyer Humayun Kabir Pallob.

The health secretary and other concerned authorities have been made respondents in the petition.
