Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has congratulated the Bangladesh Cricket Team for winning a Test series against Pakistan on home soil for the first time.

The Prime Minister said Bangladesh’s success in international cricket would continue and this achievement would further inspire the younger generation toward sports.

He expressed the hope that the Bangladesh cricket team would continue to progress on the world stage by maintaining team spirit, discipline, and self-confidence.

The Prime Minister extended heartfelt greetings and thanks to the players, coaching staffs and all concerned.

The Bangladesh team on Wednesday defeated Pakistan by 78 runs in the second Test in Sylhet. Earlier, Bangladesh had won the first Test in Mirpur in the capital by 104 runs.
