At least three autovan passengers were killed and another was injured on the Soydabad-Enayetpur road near Meghulla bus terminal area in Belkuchi upazila of Sirajganj district on Friday (June 5). The injured Tamanna, 16, daughter of Motaleb Hossain was admitted to Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.

The accident occurred at 6:00 am, when the scale of a autovan broke down and a bus hit the broken autovan from behind leaving three passengers of the autovan dead and another injured.

The deceased are – Motaleb Hossain, 55, son of Bashir Uddin of Ajugra Hejul Tala village in Belkuchi upazila, Motaleb Hossain’s wife Fazila Khatun, 40, and auto van driver Md. Nur Hossain, 45, son of Sonaullah Mudi. Tamanna Khatun, 16, daughter of Motaleb Hossain, was seriously injured during the incident.
