Kurigram Correspondent:
Triplets from Kurigram have gained a rare educational achievement by securing meritorious scholarships in the primary scholarship examination that gathers widespread praise across the country.
The sisters — Tabia Rahman, Tahia Rahman and Takia Rahman — are daughters of lawyer Tarikur Rahman Tarik and a homemaker, Shahina Akter.
According to family members, Tahia and Takia appeared in the 2025 Primary Scholarship Examination from Kurigram Government Girls’ School, while Tabia took the examination from Arjundara Government Primary School. All three secured Talent Pool scholarships.
Teachers described the sisters as disciplined, attentive and academically gifted, crediting their success to consistent study habits, strong parental support and dedication to learning.
Tahia and Takia are now sixth-grade students at Kurigram Government Girls’ School, while Tabia studies in the same grade at Kurigram Border Guard School.
Their father said the achievement was a blessing and expressed hope that his daughters would grow up to serve the country with honesty and integrity.
Their mother said the three sisters have developed disciplined daily routines from an early age and are equally committed to their studies.
Mirza Nasir Uddin, former principal of Kurigram Government College, described the achievement as rare and inspiring, saying it highlights the importance of family support and proper guidance in helping children excel academically.
