The National Legal Aid Day-2024 was observed in Sirajganj yesterday with the theme of “Smart Ligal Aid, Smart Desh of Bangabandhu’s Bangladesh”.

Sirajganj district unit of Legal Aid Committee brought out a colorful procession in the town marking the day which started from the premises of District Judge Court at 9.00 am and ended at the same venue after parading the main roads of the town.

Later, a discussion meeting was held at the court premises with S. Ali Ahmed, Chairman of Sirajganj District Legal Aid Committee and also Senior District and Sessions Judge in the chair.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Sirajganj Mir Mohammand Mahabubur Rahman, District and Sessions Judge (Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-1) Nasirul Haque, District Judge of Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-2 Begum Salma Khatun, Chief Judicial Magistrate Rashed Talukder, Disrict Legal Aid officer Jinat Jahan spoke on the occasion.

District Legal Aid Officer Begum Jinat Jahan discussed about the current legal aid situation of the district.
