District police in Sirajganj on Saturday (August 22, 2026) handed over 53 recovered mobile phones to their legitimate owners. The devices were retrieved from various areas across the district through a joint effort by the district police cyber unit and local police stations.
The formal handover ceremony took place at the conference room of the Sirajganj Superintendent of Police (SP) office, where district police authorities officially presented the retrieved phones to the respective onwers. The entire recovery operation and drive were conducted under the direct supervision and guidance of Sirajganj Superintendent of Police Md. Saiful Islam Santu, BPM (Bar), police sources revealed.

Expressing deep satisfaction and gratitude, the owners voiced their relief upon receiving their cherished devices intact and undamaged.
The event was attended by Md. Hafizur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime & Ops); Md. Najaran Rauf, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sirajganj Circle); Rakibul Hasan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sirajganj Police Station; and probationary Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs), among others.
Addressing the gathering, police officials reiterated their unwavering commitment to ensuring the security of public life and property. They assured that such special operations to curb cybercrime and recover lost personal belongings would continue across the district in the days ahead.
