Zimbabwe all-rounder Sean Williams has retired from T20Is. The left-hander made his decision after the just-concluded five-match T20I series in Bangladesh. Bangladesh won the first four matches of the series before Zimbabwe got a consolation victory on Sunday to give Williams a happy send-off from the format.
Williams featured in just the first and last game of the series. He will continue to represent the country in ODIs and Tests.
“He (Williams) decided to retire from T20I and informed about his decision to his team mates following the game,” a BCB official working with the Zimbabwean confirmed on Sunday.
Williams featured in 81 T20Is for Zimbabwe, scoring 1691 at a strike rate of 126.38. He also picked 48 wickets with his left-arm spin.
