The Padma Bridge Authorities have collected 29 crore 31 lakh 71 thousand 350 taka in the last 9 days — June 10 to June 18– during Eid journey.

At this time, 15 crore 55 lakh 89 thousand 700 taka was collected at the Mawa end of Padma Bridge while 13 crore 75 lakh 81 thousand 650 taka has been collected at Jazira end.

Confirming the matter, Additional Engineer of Padma Bridge Amirul Haider Chowdhury said that 2 lakh 52 thousand 269 vehicles crossed the two ends of Padma Bridge on 9 days of Eid Journey. At this time, the highest toll was collected on June 14. On that day 4 crore 82 lakh 18 thousand 600 taka toll was collected.

On June 15,  4 crore 30 lakh 82 thousand 900 taka toll was collected while 3 crore 55 lakh 71 thousand 150 taka was collected on 16 June, 1 crore 67 lakh 16 thousand 550 taka was collected on 17 June (Eid day) and 2 crore 71 lakh 22 thousand taka was collected on 18 June.

Besides, on June 10, 2 crore 60 lakh 26 thousand 500 taka toll was collected while 2 crore 82 lakh 51 thousand 500 taka was collected on 11 June, 3 crore 13 lakh 60 thousand 450 taka on June 12 and 3 crore 68 lakh 21 thousand 700 taka were collected on 13 June.
