Adviser Asif Nazrul said that if India does not return former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, it will be a clear violation of the India-Bangladesh extradition agreement. According to the agreement, India should return her.
The Law adviser Dr Asif Nazrul made this statement during a press conference held at the Ministry of Law on Tuesday.
He said: “A letter has been sent to India from Bangladesh requesting the return of Sheikh Hasina. According to the agreement, India should return her, as the legal proceedings against Sheikh Hasina have already begun in Bangladesh.”
Asif Nazrul further said: “A red alert has already been issued by Interpol against Sheikh Hasina.
