Authorities say the move aims to ensure smooth highway travel and ease passenger movement during the Eid holiday period

CNG filling stations across the country will remain open round the clock on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha till June 2.

The Energy and Mineral Resources Division has sent a letter to the chairman of the Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla) requesting necessary measures in this regard.

According to the letter, CNG filling stations will operate round the clock from Thursday to June 2, including the seven days before Eid, the Eid day itself, and the following five days.

The decision was taken to ensure the smooth movement of vehicles on highways and make travel easier for passengers during the Eid holidays.
