Cold wave sweeps over 12 districts, Met office forecasts rain

The minimum temperature of the country is increasing little by little for three days. The severity of winter is decreasing. According to the weather report till 9.00 am on Tuesday, the minimum temperature has increased by about 2 degrees Celsius compared to yesterday’s Monday. The minimum temperature in the capital also increased today compared to yesterday. However, a cold wave is sweeping in 12 districts of the country today. The Meteorological Department says that the temperature will continue to rise in the next few days. Then comes the rain. The temperature may drop again after February 3.

According to the latest information received from the Meteorological Department at 9.00 am today, the lowest temperature in the country was recorded at Tentulia in Panchagarh today at 7.6 degrees Celsius. Yesterday, the lowest temperature in the country was 5.7 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur. Today the minimum temperature of Dinajpur is 8.8 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature of the A Kurigram is also the same.

Today the minimum temperature in the capital has increased. Today it is 13 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature in the capital yesterday was 12.3 degrees Celsius.

A meteorologist of the Meteorological Department said today that a cold wave sweeping over Rangpur division and in addition to Gopalganj, Naogaon, Moulvibazar, and Feni. Its expansion will reduce further from tomorrow Wednesday. The number of districts in the Rangpur division is eight. Accordingly, cold is sweeping over 12 districts of the country today.

If the temperature is between 8 and 10 degrees Celsius, there is considered to be a mild cold wave. When the temperature drops to 6 to 8 degrees Celsius, it is a moderate cold wave. Severe cold wave when the temperature is 4 to 6 degrees Celsius. Accordingly, a severe cold wave swept over Panchagarh and Dinajpur yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain. It may rain on February 1 and 2, said meteorologist Muhammad Abul Kalam Mallick. However, he said that there will be rain in some places tomorrow afternoon as well. And on the 1st and 2nd, there may be some rain mainly in the southern part of the country. Its influence can reach the central region.

It has rained twice this month. It has rained more in the southern districts of the country. Jeshore and Chuadanga recorded rainfall of 20 and 19 mm.
