The price of gold has been reduced again in the local market within 24 hours. A bhori of 22-carat (11.664 grams) gold has been reduced by Tk 315 and fixed at Tk 1,12,616.
This price has been reduced in view of the reduction in the price of acid gold (seasoned gold) in the local market.
Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) said that this price has been effective from 4 pm on Sunday (April 28).
On Saturday (April 27), BAJUS reduced the price of gold by Tk 629 to Tk 112,931 per bhori.
Earlier on April 25, April 24 and April 23, gold prices were cut three times by Tk 630, Tk 2,099 and Tk 3,138 respectively.
Before that, on April 21, BAJUS had increased the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 630 and fixed at Tk 119,428, which was effective from 3:30 pm that day.
