The closing and prize distribution ceremony of “Inter-Services Volleyball Competition 2024” was held at the volleyball ground of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) Base Kurmitola in the capital on Thursday.

The Bangladesh Air Force oversaw the overall management of the tournament held during 24-28 November.

On Thursday, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Admin) Air Vice Marshal Rushad Din Asad witnessed the final match as the event’s chief guest. He distributed prizes among the champion and runner-up team.

The Bangladesh Navy team clinched the title by defeating the Bangladesh Army team by a 3-2 margin in the final match. Petty Officer Sheikh Ismail Hossain of Bangladesh Navy was adjudged as the best player in the competition.

Among others, senior officers from three military services and other military service members were present on the occasion. Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Logistics) Rear Admiral Md Zohir Uddin inaugurated the competition on 28 November. Teams from Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Air Force participated in the competition.
