A daylong jobfair was inaugurated in Jhenaidah on Wednesday morning as a part of its nationwide programme.
Jhenaidah government technical school and college (JTSC) organized the event at the college campus with the aim to create job facilities for the skilled and trained young forces including women.
Jhenaidah district chamber of commerce and industry’s President and also Managing Director of Johan Dream Valley Resort and Park Moazzem Hossain inaugurated the fair attending as chief guest, while JTSC principal Dr. Anisur Rahman Mridha, Press Club President Asif Iqbal Kazal, Modern Pharmaceuticals representative ABM Jahangir Hossain, General Manager Alamgir Hossain, Institute of Diploma Dngineers of Bangladesh (IDEB) Jhenaidah district unit President Yasin Ali, JTSC teacher Hadiuzzaman, Abu Sayeed, Maniruzzaman and Humayun Kabir among others were also present at the event.
The organizers said, a total of 11 institutions including Johan Dream Valley Resort and Park, Johan Agro Foods, FNF pharmaceuticals, Sarf Agro, Freedom Advancement, Serizony Foundation and Socio-economic and health education organization (SEHEO), Earning and Learning and Ayan Enterprises participated in the fair and set up their stalls to attract the job seekers and entrepreneurs as well.
A number of the job seekers and some of the job providing institutions’ representatives said, “Most of the job seekers submitted bio-data for job on mobile servicing, automobiles, farm machineries, computer, electrical, electronics, information technology, web development and some similar activities. Both young men and women from Jhenaidah and other parts of the country visited the fair and submitted their CVs for jobs.
JTSC principal, also organizer of the fair Dr. Anisur Rahman Mridha said, he has been trying to make his institution a model for learning technical subjects so that every student can build himself as a skill person to handle any situation efficiently.
“Being established in 1965, my institution had sent at least 300 skilled and trained students to abroad. Of them, some 40 were sent to China for study. My institution is one of the best institutions in the country,” said Dr. Anisur Rahman Mridha.
