Madaripur Correspondent:
Primary Teachers Coordinator Parishad, Madaripur District Unit, on Thursday formed a human chain at the premises of Deputy Commissioner’s office in the town demanding implementation of 10th grade salary.
Later, they submitted a memorandum to the Chief Adviser through Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Madaripur.
Teachers from different schools participated in the programme and urged the authorities concerned to fulfill their demand.
The teachers said, “Many drivers of government vehicles get higher salaries than the teachers, which is shameful for teacher society. After acquiring honours and masters certificates, teachers get salary on grade 10th. It is insulting and dishonouring. Such discrimination should remove from education sector as soon as possible.”
‘The teachers demand implementation of 10th grade immediately,” they added.
Teacher Jasim Bepary, Dabirul Islam, Mazedur Islam, Atikur Rahman, Shahriar Sobuj, Abdul Mazid, Lucku Akhter and Ishrat Jahan among others spoke on the occasion.
