South Indian actor Naga Chaitanya and actress Sobhita Dhulipala are officially engaged! After dating for a few years, the couple has finally made their relationship public with their engagement. Naga Chaitanya’s father, Nagarjuna, took to social media on Thursday to share the exciting news with an official engagement picture.

Nagarjuna wrote on X, “We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 a.m.! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family. Congratulations to the happy couple! Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness. God bless! 8.8.8. A beginning of infinite love.”

The engagement took place Thursday morning in Hyderabad at Naga Chaitanya’s house in an intimate ceremony, with just their families present. Rumors about the couple dating have circulated for a few years, but both actors have remained silent about their relationship—until now.

Naga Chaitanya separated from his wife Samantha in 2021 and following the divorce the actor started dating Sobhita Dhulipala. In May 2022, Chaitanya and Sobhita were first spotted together in Hyderabad, where Sobhita was promoting her film, “Major”.

Reports suggested that the actress who was in the city for film promotions, celebrated her birthday along with her rumoured boyfriend and some friends. That’s when they clicked, their friendship got thicker and they started dating each other.
