The government has transferred Md Rezanur Rahman, chairman of Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Resources Corporation (Petrobangla), to the Public Administration Ministry as an additional secretary.

The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification on Sunday (26 July), saying Rahman, an additional secretary, had been transferred and posted as an additional secretary (attached) to the ministry.

The order, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.

Rahman, an administration cadre officer, had been serving as chairman of Petrobangla. The notification was issued by the ministry’s Development Appointment-1 Branch following an order from the President.

Relevant government offices and authorities have been asked to take the necessary steps to implement the order.
