Policies are being formulated to produce HSC-equivalent results

Work has started to prepare the results of HSC and equivalent examinations. It will be released by December 25. The Grade Evaluation Technical Committee will submit a report within this month outlining the GPA grade assessment to produce results. The results will be published in a policy based on it.

Ziaul Haque told that HSC-equivalent results would be released on the basis of JSC-JDC and SSC examination results. The student’s grade point will be determined on the basis of the results of the previous two examinations.

He said an eight-member technical committee has been formed to determine the grades of the candidates in the auto pass. We have already held four meetings and made multiple proposals. A final proposal will be selected and sent to the Ministry of Education at the end of November. HSC or equivalent examination results will be prepared by making policy on the basis of this. The results will be released by December 25.

The chairman of the Dhaka Board has been made the member secretary of the eight-member committee headed by the additional secretary of the education ministry. Besides, representatives of Dhaka University, BUET, National University, Department of Health Education and Chairman of Technical and Madrasa Education Board have been included in the committee.

The decision to change the department will also be taken on their advice. The expert committee is also working to fix problems that may arise due to departmental changes (those who have changed from humanities to humanities or other departments).

This year’s HSC exam was recently canceled due to coronavirus. The results of JSC and SSC will be determined by the average of the results of this year’s HSC. Education Minister Dipu Moni said this at a virtual press conference organized by the Ministry of Education on October 8.(Source: Online)
