After being closed for almost two weeks due to severe heatwave, primary schools are returning to normal activities from today.
The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education confirmed this information in a circular, signed by Senior Information Officer Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin on Monday.
According to the notification, from Tuesday, all activities including class activities of all government primary schools, primary schools of Shishu Kalyan Trust and learning centers of the non-formal education bureau will continue according to the calendar of the academic year 2024. Meanwhile, primary schools were opened on April 28 after being closed for a week due to heatwave. However, class hours are reduced and assemblies (daily gatherings) are suspended. Class activities, pre-primary activities and assemblies (daily gatherings) will resume in all government primary schools, Child Welfare Trust primary schools and non-formal education bureau learning centers from today.
