The Interim Government of Bangladesh has formed 6 commissions for state reform. Safar Raj Hossain has been made the head of the Police Administration Reform Commission.

Earlier on Wednesday (September 11) during the Address to the Nation, Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus mistakenly referred to Sarfraz Chowdhury instead of Safar Raj Hossain. The matter was later confirmed by the Chief Adviser’s press wing.

Safar Raj Hossain served as the secretary of Public Administration and Ministry of Home Affairs from 2003 to 2007.

Apart from Safar Raj Hossain, Dr. Badiul Alam Majumdar will serve as the head of Electoral System Reform Commission, Justice Shah Abu Naeem Mominur Rahman will serve as the head of the Judicial Reform Commission, Dr. Iftekharuzzaman will serve as the head of the Anti-Corruption Reform Commission, Mr. Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury as the head of the Public Administration Reform Commission, and Dr. Shahdeen Malik as the head of the Constitution Reform Commission.
