Bangladesh National cricket team’s all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin along with his family members and relatives found him stranded in his hometown as Feni has been going through an unprecedented flooding.

The situation in the district has grown dire, with entire areas cut off from electricity, leaving the district isolated from the rest of the world. The fast bowler, known as the “Feni Express,” took to social media to share the grim reality facing his hometown.

As Feni is submerged, many are trying to reach Saifuddin via phone to check on him. However, with power outages, low battery, and disrupted network services, communication has been challenging. Unable to respond to everyone, Saifuddin resorted to sharing a video on Facebook to highlight the disastrous situation in Feni. With fear in his eyes, he ended the brief video by asking for prayers.

In a video posted on Facebook, Saifuddin appealed to the government for immediate assistance. “The whole city is without power. After much effort, I managed to charge my phone a little. Many from Dhaka may be trying to reach out. Your relatives in different parts of Feni are in extreme danger. The situation is very terrifying with no electricity, no water. My phone battery is running low, so I don’t know how long I can stay connected. Please pray for us and do whatever you can.,” Saifuddin said in the video.

He further expressed deep concern for his trapped relatives and the countless others affected by the flood. “Throughout the day, I haven’t seen any government rescue teams or food supplies for the flood victims. This is truly heartbreaking. Save Feni. Many of my relatives are trapped in my village home,” he pleaded.
