Hasan elected as President, Inna as GS

After a long battle, a-21-member new executive committee of Sirajganj Press Club along with electing Harun or Rashid Khan Hasan as President and Shariful Islam Inna as General Secretary was formed on Saturday.

Harun or Rashid Khan Hasan is currently working at Banga Vision TV as District Correspondent and Dainik Dinkal as Own Correspondent and Shariful Islam Inna at NTV and Dainik Ajker Patrika as District Correspondent.

The new committee was formed throughout a general meeting held at the Hall Room of Press Club at around 11:00am with its convener Shariful Islam Inna in the chair, while Enamul Haque conducted the programme in presence of others.

During the meeting, the number of members of the committee was increased to 21 from 13 according to the consent of all. Besides, a five-member sub-committee was also formed with the view to forming a full-fledged committee.

Among others, Jehadul Islam, Editor of Ajker Sirajganj and District Correspondent of Jugantar and Hirok Goon, Senior Reporter of Channel-24 were elected as Vice-President, while Golam Mostafa Rubel, Own Correspondent of Jamuna TV and Yusuf Dewan Raju, Executive Editor of Dainik Kalam Sainik and District Correspondent of RTV and Dhaka Mail were also made Joint General Secretary, Nurul Islam Raichy, District Correspondent of Daily Naya Diganta was elected as Financial Secretary and Rahmat Ali, District Correspondent of SA TV as Organizing Secretary.

Besides, Enamul Haque, Bureau Chief of Amader Bangla was elected as Office Secretary, HM Mokaddesh Ali, District Correspondent of Jaijaidin as Publicity and Publications affairs Secretary, Ashraful Islam, District Correspondent of Global TV as Sports Secretary, Dileep Gourh, District Correspondent of Independent TV as Cultural Secretary, Milon Sheikh, District Correspondent of Amar Songbad as Social Welfare Secretary, Mostaq Ahemd Nawshad as Literature and Library affairs Secretary, Rejaul Karim Khan as Entertainment affairs Secretary and HM Alamgir Hossain as Information and Technology affairs Secretary.

In addition of those, Daily Janakantha’s Staff Correspondent Babu Islam, Daily Tribunal’s Staff Correspondent Helal Ahmed, Chief Editor of The Daily Ajker Sirajganj Jakirul Islam Santu, Editor of Sirajganj Kantha Shafiq Mohammad Rumon and Amader Natun Somoy District Correspondent Sohag Hasan Joy elected as executive members for the new committee.

The Daily Sky, one and only esteemed English Daily of the district appreciated the new committee and greeted to all of its members and leaders.

It is to be mentioned that, earlier, several cases were ongoing around the Sirajganj Press Club.
