Finance and Commerce Adviser Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed has said that everyone should pay tax for wellbeing of the country. There should be no discrimination in the tax structure.

Salehuddin Ahmed made these remarks while speaking at a seminar organised by the Bangladesh Civil Service Taxation Association at the NBR auditorium in Agargaon on Saturday.

He said, “Our biggest challenge right now is to make the country self-sufficient. For this, it is necessary for the revenue board to set a target for tax collection.”

SalehUddin Ahmed also added, “There will be a meeting with the US Treasury Department regarding economic reforms, and assistance will be sought from them in the reform process.”
