West Indies wicketkeeper Joshua Da Silva said that they are eyeing to make it 2-0 in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh as they take on the visitors in the second Test at the Sabina Park in Jamaica starting from Saturday.
West Indies won the first Test by 201 runs and Da Silva said they would like to repeat the same thing again in Jamaica.
“It’s always nice to be in Jamaica. Last time I was here I scored a first-class hundred against Jamaica so it would be nice if the form can continue from there. Oh yeah coming here 1-0 up in the series is always a good feeling but we are not finished yet. We are looking to make that 2-0 and win the series,” Joshua Da Silva told the reporters upon arrival in Jamaica.
“For us it’s about using that advantage that we have and hopefully we can make it 2-0,” he added.
Da Silva said it’s about being consistent with the bat if they want to keep the winning trend going.
“In the first innings we got 450 which was the goal and you won’t gonna bat well all the time but at the end of the day we got to be consistent as batsmen that includes me as well as got to be consistent as much as I could. As a batting group we got some young lad in the middle order. For us it’s about how to be consistent and score 400 and 300 runs consistently and we know we’re gonna get the wickets if the batsmen put up a total. I believe we have the talent and it’s about getting the job properly done,” he concluded.
