Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar on Friday urged members of his party to get ready to make any sacrifice to protect the victory achieved through the student-led mass upsurge.
“The fascist Awami League government was ousted through a strong movement across the country. Jamaat members should work unitedly to make the victory successful and sustainable,” he said while addressing a members’ conference at Abdullahpur in the capital.
Mia Golam Parwar, also a former MP, called upon the Jamaat leaders and activists from all levels to work unitedly for the sake of humanity.
Jamaat Uttara East-West zone under Dhaka North city unit arranged the conference.
Jamaat central working committee member and Dhaka North City Secretary Dr Muhammad Rezaul Karim presided over the conference while central executive council member and Dhaka North City Ameer Mohammed Selim Uddin was a special guest.
Mia Golam Parwar emphasised reading the holy Quran, Hadith and Islamic literature, urging the members to acquire knowledge and proper skills to lead the country.
He further asked the activists to be ready to make any sacrifice for the sake of the country and the nation. “Jamaat is an ideal organisation. It’s not a conventional political party. Jamaat creates ideal and worthy people,” he said.
