Sirajganj District Police have launched a cleanliness and public awareness campaign across the district to combat the spread of dengue and ensure a clean environment. The initiative is being conducted under the slogan, “Cleanliness and awareness be everyone’s joint commitment to prevent dengue.”

Superintendent of Police Md. Saiful Islam Santu, BPM (Bar), formally inaugurated the program at the Sirajganj Police Lines on Saturday afternoon.

As part of the drive, police personnel cleared stagnant water, accumulated garbage, and potential mosquito breeding sites within the Police Lines compound and surrounding areas. The campaign also focused on educating the public on keeping homes, offices, and surrounding environments clean while preventing water accumulation to curb mosquito breeding.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) Asaduzzaman and Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Md. Hafizur Rahman, along with senior officers and personnel from various ranks of the district police, actively participated in the cleanup activity.

According to district police sources, simultaneous cleanliness and awareness programs were conducted across all police stations in the district. District Police plan to maintain these ongoing cleaning and awareness drives to effectively control the dengue situation.
