A case has been registered against 43 people including former state minister for labour Begum Monnujan Sufian, former MP and organizing secretary of Awami League SM Kamal Hossain on the charge of vandalizing BNP’s office in Aranghata police station of Khulna.
Narayan Mishra, general secretary of Aranghata Union Jubo Dal, filed the case at Aranghata police station as the plaintiff.
Aranghata police officer in charge (OC) Md. Helal Uddin confirmed this on Friday (September 27) afternoon.
He said that on August 4, a case was filed against 43 people on charges of vandalizing the BNP office and exploding cocktails, allegedly creating panic in the public mind, on August 4. Another 150 to 200 people have been made anonymous accused in this case.

Former chairman of Dighlia upazila Sheikh Maruful Islam, president of metropolitan Jubo League Md. Shafikur Rahman Polash, general secretary Sheikh Shahjalal Hossain Sujan, Awami League leader Md. Daud Haider, District Jubo League president Chowdhury Raihan Farid, Metropolitan Swechasebak League president Sheikh Russell Zaman, Khanjahan Ali Thana Jubo League convener and Yogipol UP Chairman Md. Sajjadur Rahman Lincoln, former ward no. 1 commissioner Md. Shahadat Hossain Meena, ward no. 2 Awami League President and brother of former labour state minister Begum Monnujan Sufian and her assistant Shahabuddin Ahmed and others.
