Ex-lawmaker Gini arrested from Dhaka

Mahbub Ara Begun Gini, former lawmaker from Gaibandha-2, was arrested from Dhanmondi in the capital on Monday night.

Rezaul Karim Mallick, additional commissioner of Detective Branch of police, confirmed the arrest.

He added, Gini is accused in several cases filed after August 5.

The former MP also served as parliamentary whip in the 10th national parliament.
