Water levels in all three rivers of Chapainawabganj district marked further rise in the last 24 hours.
According to the District Water Development Board (WDB) on Saturday, water level rose 8cm in Padma, 5cm in Mohananda and 6cm in Punarvaba during this period.
After the rise, Padma was flowing 1.12 meters below the danger level, Mohananda was flowing 1.25 meters below the danger level and Punarvaba was flowing 1.65 meters below the danger level.
But, the water level now reached 20.93m at Pankha point in Padma, 19.30m at Khalghat point in Mohananda and 19.90m at Rohonpur point in Punarvaba, WDB said.
