A car in the convoy of Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam, coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement, was involved in an accident at 7:30 pm on Wednesday in Chattogram while returning after the burial of murdered lawyer Saiful Islam Alif.

The car’s front end was severely damaged, but fortunately, no one was injured.

In an interview given about the assassination attempt, Hasnat Abdullah described the incident and said, “We went to brother Alif’s house today. Thousands flock to Namaz-e-Janaza of lawyer Saiful there.There was also a crowd of motorcycles for about three kilometers. Due to the crowd, we got into another car while going. We had three cars. The car in front of us collided head-on with the truck.”

He said, the truck driver has been questioned. However, he is giving inconsistent information. There was no match between his information and reality. He said that he was going to unload the goods, but he did not have any slip or documents.
